This cake may sound so fancy but preparing is not hard at all. Flourless cakes are simply made of eggyolks, dark chocolate, butter and coffee liqeuer. The chocolate is melted with the butter over a double boiler while the yolks are beaten until pale and doubles in volume or at ribbon stage. Ribbon stage is when the mixture leaves a ribbon trail on the surface when the whip attachment is lifted. Technical but worth it. Both prepared mixtures are folded together and just add the coffee liqeuer. Having a whole bottle of Kahlua or the coffee -rum liqeuer would make endless luscious desserts and this is one of them. Flourless chocolate cake I must say is best eaten after it has been chilled. Chewy and fudgy on the inside...

Chocolate E S P R E S S O Cookies... on a dotted cup...

The polka-dot espresso cup is just perfect for this treat. I may have wanted to make the cookie just becauseI have an espresso cup collection. It is true and believe it or not, I would use it over and over for some of my posts. I was not really craving for a cookie that day but I was thinking of a way to use the cute cup which I've had6 years ago. Kept going back to those years when I would buy rare find items from thrift stores around Connecticut just to look for a tiny but usable item. This is it. Making this project gave me the greatest idea of preparing a very chewy cookie and that is simply using melted butter instead of whipping it until pale. I have learned all the basics of baking cookies but discovring it and really testing each pastry item is so crucial to say that I have proven something good about that day of execution. Really tasted better...
This is also a great opportunity for me to adverstise my new gardening site, Gourmet Garden, a new world for me.
